The best time to travel in Central Asia

To choose the best dates for travelling in Central Asia it is important to take into account the peculiarities of the climate of each country. If you want to explore the region on our own you can use our car rent services. Each country has its own weather conditions that play a big role in organizing the tour. Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are located on the desert-dominating territory, so the climate is quite similar. Summers are very hot, so I is recommended to visit them  in spring and autumn. It will not be too hot or too cold. Also tourists often combine travel to these 2 countries into one tour. In this way you will explore the prominent historical and architectural sites of the East. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are situated on the mountain territory, so the climate is sharp continental. The winter is longer and the tops of the mountains are always covered with snow. During tour in these countries you will overcome mountain passes above an altitude of 3000 meters above sea level. You should remember that the weather in the mountains is cooler for 10 degrees Celsius than in the cities. The main disadvantage of travelling in winter is that some roads and passes are blocked by the snow. For this reason summer and the early autumn are considered the best time to visit Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Kazakhstan has the largest territory among countries of that region. Consequently, the nature and climate is very diverse. There are steppes, semi-deserts and mountains of Tien Shan mountain Range. It depends on which part of Kazakhstan you want to visit, but usually we recommend to travel in summer and autumn months.
