Architecture

The architecture of Uzbekistan is noted for its originality. Many consider Uzbekistan’s architecture to be notable despite the changing economic conditions, technological advances, demographic fluctuations, and cultural shifts that the country has experienced. Notable architectural centers of Uzbekistan include Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shakhrisabz, Termez, and Kokand. Various ancient architectural masterpieces have also survived, including palaces, mausoleums, mosques, and minarets. Colorful mosaics, religious symbols, and abstract geometrical patterns also characterize architecture in Uzbekistan. Despite the beauty of Uzbekistan we suggest you to travel to Turkmenistan and visit places as Kunya Urgench, Merv and many other sites. In Kazakhstan are available famed mosques, minarets, mausoleums. During the trip you can create simple image of life in the past and how the caravans passed there. Culture

From gold-toothed Turkmen in shaggy, dreadlocked hats to high-cheekboned Kyrgyz herders whose eyes still hint at their nomadic past, Central Asia presents a fascinating collection of portraits and peoples. The most noticeable divide is between the traditionally sedentary peoples, the Uzbeks and Tajiks, and their formerly nomadic neighbours, the Kazakhs, Kyrgyz and Turkmen. In total the population of former Soviet Central Asia is about 67 million. Few areas of its size are home to such tangled demographics and daunting transitions. For a visitor to a Muslim country, even one as casual about Islam as Kazakhstan or Kyrgyzstan, this is a constant source of pleasure, temptation and sometimes embarrassment. The majority of Central Asians, especially rural ones, have little to offer but their hospitality, and a casual guest could drain a host's resources and never know it. And yet to refuse such an invitation (or to offer to bring food or to help with the cost) would almost certainly be an insult. Musical instruments, food preferences, lifestyle, traditional clothes are unique. Kyrgyz and Kazakh people are almost similar like Uzbeks with Turkmens. The nation is very polite and hospitable. All you can do is enjoy it, honour their customs as best you can, and take yourself courteously out of the picture before you become a burden. If for some reason you do want to decline, couch your refusal in gracious and diplomatic terms, allowing the would-be host to save face. As an example, if you are offered bread, you should at least taste a little piece before taking your leave. There is a quote “Guest is like a God”.

Food

In Central Asia, however, lamb meat has been considered the main food since ancient times, and there is a historical explanation for this. Until the beginning of the 19th century, Central Asia was inhabited by nomadic tribes engaged in breeding small cattle (sheep). Naturally, the nomads did not have the opportunity to grow wheat or rice, since the cultivation of these crops required settlement. Rice and wheat were exchanged by nomads from settled tribes for meat and cattle. And it is in the preparation of dishes from meat and offal of small cattle that the peoples of Central Asia showed special ingenuity, which is why the cuisine of Central Asia differs from the national cuisine of its neighbors. The mix of culinary traditions of the Persians and Turks, as well as an advantageous position at the crossroads of trade routes, made the recipes very diverse both in terms of products and cooking methods. Boorsok, beshbarmak, kuurdak, lagman, manty and many other kinds of dishes made of 100 % natural products. Uzbek and Tajik food is full of vegetables because of their lifestyle. Moreover you can try Dungan, Uigur, Russian, Ukranian, Korean, Azerbaijan, Tatar, Caucasian people cuisine. Rent a car, visit us for gastronomic tour.

The Ala-Archa gorge is one of the most famous sights of Kyrgyzstan. The Ala-Archa gorge is located in the Chui region and is a national Park. Every year, this high-mountain gorge receives hundreds of thousands of tourists, both local and foreign. There are several reasons for this popularity. First of all, the Ala-Archa gorge is only 40 kilometers from Bishkek, so it is very easy to get here and has all the necessary tourist infrastructure: good paved road, shops, hotels, cafes, and places to relax among the beautiful nature. Secondly, the Ala-Archa gorge has its own geographical features-it is located on the Central and highest part of the Kyrgyz range — the second longest range of the Tien Shan. Therefore, it is here that the mountains rise as high as possible above the plain, and here begin numerous trails to the highest peaks of the Kyrgyz range.Ala-Archa is famous for its unspoilt nature: extensive spruce forests, birch groves, numerous springs with clear glacial water and mighty rocks. Have a great vacation with car rent service.

Lakes

There are many beautiful lakes and we really mean magnificent lakes. Some of them are huge as the sea, some are high up in the mountains and some even have nice beaches. So here is our list of the most stunning lakes in Central Asia. About a six-hour drive from Almaty is the Kolsay Lake. There are three lakes in total. You can drive up to the first one, the Kolsay lake. The lake is crystal clear and you can see some remaining trees in the middle of the lakes that makes for a mystical atmosphere. From there, it is an 8 km walk (or horseback riding) along the river to the second lake which is also stunning. The smaller third lake is at an altitude of 2800 meters but beware it might not be allowed to go there because it is very close to the Kyrgyz border. It is likely you meet some border guards on horseback in the forest. There are some cabins for rent if you want to spend the night here. In the center of Kyrgyzstan lies the beautiful lake Song-Kol. In summer it is possible to get there from the villages Kochkor or Jumgal. But the best way is to hike or to ride on horseback. If there is snow, horses are the only possible transportation. It depends very much on the weather since the lake is about 3'016 meters above sea level. Along its shore, there are nice yurt camps in summer and it makes a perfect place to enjoy the nomadic lifestyle. Tajikistan has hundreds of pristine lakes and one of them is the lake Iskanderkul. It is situated in the northwestern part of Tajikistan and the way up there is quite a challenge. You'll definitely need a 4W-Drive to go up the last couple of kilometers to the lake. What makes this lake so fascinating is that is surrounded by the majestic Fann mountains. It is just beautiful when the snow-covered peaks come out of the clouds and are reflected on the surface of the lake. There are a few options to stay overnight. Spending a night or two and hiking along the shore is definitely worth it. No wonder, the president of Tajikistan has a summer house here too. The most popular one is Issyk Kul. Pearl of Central Asia. We can talk about it infinitely. Rent a car and spend amazing time with us.
